Falling
When I Feel Like I Am Falling From My Soul
by Maureen Kwiat Meshenberg
when I feel,
like I am falling-
from my soul,
hanging on by a strand-
I free fall,
and let go deep-
into my wondering,
it takes my breath,
as I grasp-
to reach to that place,
of be redeemed-
but it is not about,
redemption-
or the right and wrong,
of it-
the pit in my stomach,
from the ache of it-
catches me off guard,
all that’s left is to-
hold to my dark,
but love’s light comes,
and brings me back-
not because I am perfect,
or because I followed-
the right steps,
I just reach up-
and open up enough,
to let what is true-
flow through me,
love saves me-
when I feel abandoned,
confused,
defused,
alone…
brings me and cradles me,
in arms of wholeness-
back to my soul,
back home.
